Last week we had the final Transnational Project Meeting in Uşak, Türkiye, with all partners to evaluate all the project activities and to discussed the sustainability of the project results.
Three days of Sport, culture and natural beauty: we held the International Intergenerational Joint Archery Orienteering Competition too. Young and elderly participants from Italy, Poland, and Türkiye competed in the breathtaking Ulubey Canyon in Uşak, the second longest canyon in the world.
Participants completed the fun and challenging archery orienteering course, and medals and trophies were awarded to the top-ranking teams.
We are very proud to have brought here 4 young athletes of archery on horseback, a born discipline thanks to Archori project! In the Italian team one couple won the competition and another placed 3rd and this is really a great success!!
At least, there was an international panel titled “Ageing, Sports, and Intergenerational Joint Sports”, brought together esteemed speakers from Italy, Poland, and Türkiye to explore how traditional and inclusive sports can promote active ageing, strengthen intergenerational ties, and enhance social participation across Europe. Thanks to all participants for their contributions!
It was definitely a unique meeting: the competition not only celebrated traditional sports and active ageing, but also fostered dialogue, respect, and solidarity between generations — right in the heart of nature!☘️☘️
